Worcestershire Historical Society was founded in 1893 and built on the work of famous antiquaries like Thomas Habington (1560-1647) and Treadway Russell Nash (1725-1811).

The purpose of the Society is to produce volumes of historical records and a series of Occasional Papers.

The Society does not undertake historical research collectively, although many of its members are working on aspects of the county’s history.  PLEASE NOTE: The Society does not hold an archive and is not able to answer detailed questions about resources or family history; such questions are best directed to the Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service at  www.explorethepast.co.uk.
